Over the summer, we were fortunate to travel to the Amazon rainforest to meet the indigenous community that we have been in contact with for the past two years or so.
In the process, we learnt and shared so much. We would now like to invite you to take part in one of our future multi-schools or single-school events so that we can share our first-hand experiences and newly acquired knowledge and understanding about the tropical rainforest biome, climate change and the indigenous people’s way of life with you too.
There will also be an opportunity to connect with the tribe to share ideas and dreams for a more sustainable future.
Our next virtual multi-schools event will take place from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on Wednesday 12th October 2022.
The cost to take part is £250 per school (you can involve as many Upper Key Stage 2 pupils, teachers and TAs as you can feasibly accommodate).
The format and content of our multi-schools events have been updated so as to include our fresh audio-visual footage and new stories. However, an indication of a typical workshop can be gleaned by accessing the web-links below:

Feedback from previous participants has been extremely positive to date. A selection of teachers’ and pupils’ comments can be viewed here:
Thank you so much. The children and teachers are absolutely loving this!
Really inspiring. Loved how it was very cross-curricular. Focused on geography, maths, English, reading, computing and art skills.
It has been a fantastic day where the children have interacted extremely well.
Amazing Amazon Adventure! Perfect name. Surprising and beautiful!
We enjoyed the art, the videos, working together and having the chance to see something real that we may never get to visit.
I have learnt a lot of new things and I have definitely been inspired.
Thank you for such a wonderful day yesterday, the children (and myself) loved it! A great range of inclusive activities using different skills.
An informative session that the children enjoyed from the start. We loved learning about the Kambeba children and looking at the similarities and differences between us.
Amazing; fantastic; interesting; thought-provoking..
Many thanks. It was a fantastic day and we can’t wait to do it again. You have kind of taught our whole unit so I’m ever so grateful for that!
It was great seeing how children in the Amazon live and taking part in the same art activity as children from other parts of the world.
This was a fantastic workshop and our Head Teacher wants us to book it yearly now and add it to our geography long term plan.
Do get in touch if you are interested or wish to know more (emma.espley@gmail.com).
Places will be awarded on a first come, first served basis (a maximum of six schools per event).
