Art exhibitions

An interactive art exhibition, which invites individuals to dream together, think critically, identify compromises and enable them to be inspired by the indigenous way of living. It consists of a series of drawings and light-hearted sculptures that encourage the audience to reconsider their way of life.  Through a sequence of photographs and videos of the Tururukarê-uka tribe in the heart of the Amazon, people cannot help but feel inspired.

The exhibition concludes with a display of natural artefacts from the Amazon. Visitors are able to see some unusual seeds and plants and discover more about the origins of Brazil nuts and urucum, the ink used for tribal body painting amongst other things.

Whilst this exhibition can stand-alone, it may also be accompanied by workshops focusing on illustration, stop motion animation, cyanotypes and photography.  In addition, it may feature alongside geography-themed sessions, creating a deep, meaningful, as well as academic experience.
